Reading and Values Education

Abstract


The term `values' is used in this review to refer to the principles and fundamental convictions which act as general guides to behaviour, the standards by which particular actions are judged to be good or desirable and examples of values are love, equality, freedom, justice, happiness, security, peace of mind and truth. The purpose of this study is to grapple with the values of the university students to see whether studying literatura enhances their perspectives in values After the five-week study of the plays tackled through the moral educational perspective, their post test results were compared with 50 freshmen students in the same department. The results show that there is no difference between freshment and junior teacher trainees in terms of the Kolbian categorization.
