AI-Based Learning Modules to Enhance Students’ Entrepreneurial Intentions
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is widely recognized as a transformative technology with substantial potential to enhance education, especially in entrepreneurship learning. However, entrepreneurship education, especially in secondary education, appears to be theoretical, with no real AI-supported learning approaches in practice. This study aimed to develop an AI-based entrepreneurship learning module and then evaluate its effectiveness for improving students' entrepreneurial intentions. This study followed a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. It involved students from a private high school and a public vocational school in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, expert validation, pretests, posttests, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the developed module was valid, feasible, and highly effective in improving students' entrepreneurial intentions. A significant difference was found between students' pretest and posttest scores, supported by high N-Gain scores and a very large effect size. The student participants also responded positively to the AI-supported learning features. This study contributes to the growing literature on AI-enhanced entrepreneurship education by providing empirical evidence from secondary education contexts, particularly in developing countries. The implications and suggestions for future research are also highlighted.
